PDR College Editorial Standards

See how PDR College reviews technical, business, historical, podcast, product, event, and training content for accuracy, evidence, and disclosures.

PDR College publishes professional-development content for paintless dent repair technicians. The goal is to make first-hand repair and operating experience useful without turning opinion, promotion, historical uncertainty, or a single result into a universal claim.

Who writes and reviews content

Important pages name an author or editorial team and identify the technical reviewer where one is required. A person should review claims within their actual experience. Legal, tax, insurance, vehicle-procedure, accessibility, and privacy questions require the appropriate qualified review rather than a host opinion.

Evidence hierarchy

PDR College prefers:

  1. original repair records, images, video, estimates, schedules, registration records, and operating documents that can be published lawfully;
  2. first-hand explanation from the technician or operator who performed the work;
  3. current manufacturer, vehicle, platform, or official documentation;
  4. named third-party sources with a clear publication date and context;
  5. archived PDR College material, labeled as historical.

An unsupported recollection may suggest a research lead, but it is not published as a verified historical fact.

Technical repair content

Repair pages state the assumed skill level, starting condition, intended result, material and safety limits, tools or products used, and known failure or stop conditions. Case studies show the process and remaining limitations, not only a polished after image.

Online content does not claim to replace supervised physical training, current vehicle procedures, or professional judgment.

Business and monetary content

Revenue, price, cost, conversion, and time examples must be dated and contextualized. State the market, scope, major costs, and whether a number represents revenue, gross profit, or net income when that distinction is material. Outlier results are not presented as typical.

Products and commercial relationships

Material relationships are disclosed near the relevant recommendation or link. Commercial association is not independent evidence of quality. Comparisons explain their method and include limitations.

Podcast and transcript content

An episode page must add editorial value beyond the RSS description. Show notes distinguish original feed material from later additions. Transcripts are cleaned and speaker-checked before being presented as final. Historical statements receive an update note when current facts have materially changed.

Seminar and historical content

Each occurrence keeps its original year and place. Event facts come from a source-backed inventory. Unknown dates, venues, instructors, prices, attendance, testimonials, and rights remain unknown until verified. Past pages are not overwritten to promote a new event.

Event structured data appears only for a real, visible occurrence and must match the page.

Reviews, testimonials, photos, and privacy

PDR College publishes a testimonial, participant image, or private event record only with an appropriate source and publication right. Editing must not change the speaker's meaning. Personal contact and registration data are not published.

Updates and corrections

Pages display an original publication date and a material review or update date where useful. Silent typo fixes do not require an update note; a changed conclusion, factual correction, or materially new section does.

Submit concerns through the corrections policy. Read PDR College disclosures for host and business relationships.
